Therapy within Reach Program
At Intuitive Pathways, we recognize that accessing culturally responsive mental health care is not always easy—particularly for individuals within the BIPOC community. Many people encounter personal, social, structural, and systemic barriers that make receiving quality care more challenging.
The Therapy Within Reach Program was created to help reduce these barriers and increase access to therapy. While this program is rooted in supporting the BIPOC community, anyone seeking reduced-fee services is welcome to apply.
Group Therapy Sessions
Group therapy offers a supportive space to connect with others who may be navigating similar experiences. These sessions provide an opportunity to reflect, share, and learn within a facilitated environment that emphasizes understanding, mutual respect, and connection. Group work can help reduce isolation, deepen insight, and foster a sense of belonging while building practical tools for everyday life.
Working Together
We draw from evidence-based therapy approaches, guided by each person’s needs, experiences, and goals.
Therapy
-
In IFS therapy, we explore the different parts of your inner world and how they’ve been shaped by lived experience. Through curiosity and compassion, we work to understand these patterns, heal emotional wounds, and strengthen your connection to self.
-
EMDR therapy is an evidence-based approach that supports the processing of distressing or traumatic experiences. Using bilateral stimulation, we work to reduce the emotional intensity of past memories, helping you move toward healing, clarity, and resolution.
-
CBT focuses on examining patterns of thought and behavior and how they influence emotional experiences. Through guided reflection and skill development, we work to increase awareness, ease distress related to anxiety and depression, and support more adaptive ways of responding in daily life.
-
Somatic therapy approaches recognize the connection between the mind and body and how experiences are held physically. Through attention to bodily sensations, breath, and movement, we work to increase awareness, support regulation, and integrate emotional experiences in a way that feels grounded and manageable.
-
Attachment-based therapy explores how early relationships shape current ways of relating to others. By examining these patterns together, we work to increase awareness, understand relational responses, and support more adaptive and intentional connections over time.
-
Compassionate Inquiry is an approach that supports the exploration of how past experiences continue to shape emotional and behavioral patterns. Through open, non-judgmental inquiry, we work to increase self-awareness, understand these patterns more clearly, and relate to internal experiences with greater clarity and care.
-
Psychodynamic therapy focuses on understanding how past experiences and unconscious processes continue to influence thoughts, emotions, and patterns of behavior. By bringing awareness to these dynamics, we work to deepen insight and support more intentional ways of relating to oneself and others.
Modalities
-
Trauma therapy focuses on how past or ongoing experiences continue to shape emotional responses, patterns of coping, and relationships. Rather than centering on what is “wrong,” this work explores how the mind and body adapted to manage overwhelming experiences, and how those responses may still be present today.
-
Anxiety and depression often show up as patterns of worry, low mood, emotional exhaustion, or feeling disconnected from oneself or daily life. Therapy focuses on understanding how these experiences developed, how they are maintained, and how they influence thoughts, emotions, and behavior over time.
-
Work around low self-esteem explores how self-perception, internal dialogue, and past experiences shape confidence and self-worth. Therapy supports examining these patterns and developing a more balanced and compassionate relationship with oneself. -

How it Works
01
Consultation
We’ll begin with a brief consultation to get a sense of what’s bringing you here and what you’re hoping to explore in therapy. This space also allows you to ask questions about the process and decide whether working together feels like a good fit.
02
On Boarding
If you choose to move forward, you’ll receive intake paperwork to complete prior to your first session. This helps gather important background information and allows us to begin with shared context around your needs, preferences, and logistics.
03
First Session
We’ll meet via secure video to review your intake information and begin the therapeutic process at a pace that feels comfortable for you. This session is focused on understanding your experiences and establishing a collaborative working relationship.
04
Ongoing Support
As therapy continues, we’ll determine a session frequency that aligns with your life, capacity, and goals. Sessions remain flexible and responsive, offering space to reflect, explore patterns, and deepen understanding over time.
FAQs
-
Seeking therapy isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s often a sign of self-awareness and strength. Many people who come to therapy are highly capable, independent, and accustomed to managing things on their own. Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and better understand patterns that may no longer be serving you. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from support.
-
No. Therapy is for people who are human. It’s a space for exploring thoughts, emotions, experiences, and patterns that impact your life. Many clients seek therapy during periods of transition, stress, burnout, or when they want deeper self-understanding—not because something is “wrong” with them.
-
While support from loved ones is valuable, therapy offers something different. Sessions provide a neutral, confidential space guided by clinical training and evidence-based approaches. Rather than advice or opinions, the focus is on helping you make sense of your experiences, build insight, and develop tools that support lasting change—at your own pace.
-
Medication can be helpful for some people, and therapy can complement it. Therapy focuses on understanding underlying patterns, emotional experiences, and relational dynamics that medication alone may not address. Together, we can explore what approach—or combination of approaches—feels most aligned with your needs.
-
There’s no “right” way to do therapy. Sessions are collaborative and guided by what feels most relevant to explore. Some days may focus on current stressors, others on past experiences or patterns. Your role is simply to show up as you are; the work unfolds naturally over time.
-
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. The length of therapy depends on your goals, needs, and what you’d like to focus on. Some clients come for short-term support, while others choose longer-term work. We’ll regularly check in and adjust as needed.
-
Consistency is key to making real progress, so attending weekly sessions is essential. Regular sessions help us build momentum, and the work doesn’t stop between sessions. Be open, curious, and patient with yourself, and practice what we discuss in your daily life. If something isn’t clicking, let me know—we’ll figure it out together. I’m here to support you every step of the way.
